The Random Flow Generator® Nozzle

The Only Random Flow Generating Device With No Moving Parts…

The primary focus of the RFG or Random Flow Generator® Nozzle, is to transform the flow from your return line or closed loop system, into a more beneficial randomized flow pattern.

  • Can help to create a more natural water movement within your aquarium.

  • Helps to lift and suspend detritus and other debris so your filtration can remove them.

  • Allows you to increase flow without damaging corals or creating a sand storm within your aquarium.

  • No additional electricity, heat or noise.

  • Easy to install – no tools, glue or plumbers tape required.

A Truly Randomized Flow

For your saltwater and freshwater aquarium system

No Moving Parts

The Random Flow Generator™ Nozzle is the ONLY random flow generating device on the market with no moving parts.

The patent pending design uses fluid dynamics to vary both the intensity and direction of the flow, as it exits the nozzle. This means it will never get stuck, stop working or require internal maintenance.

It’s a simple solution to generating random flow in your aquarium.

How Does the RFG work?

The internal structure of the RFG Nozzle is comprised of a 5-vane helix that spirals nearly the entire length of the nozzle with a central jet.

Each vane of the helix is connected to an eductor at the base. Together, they form a set of internal channels.

These channels along with the center jet, work together to pull the flow in one direction or the other as it exits the nozzle creating he randomization effect.

Will it Work In My Tank?

The RFG Nozzle available in multiple sizes and compatible with 1/2in and 3/4in Loc-line® as well as 1in modular hose and schedule 40 PVC.

Is the Random Flow Generator® like an Accelerator Nozzle?

The Random Flow Generator™ Nozzle does share  some similarity with the standard eductor/panductor nozzles. Eductors and panductors traditionally are designed to push as much water as possible as far as possible – basically increasing the flow through acceleration.

The RFG nozzle on the other hand takes a different approach. By randomly changing the direction and intensity of the flow as it exited the nozzle, the RFG can create a very unique flow pattern that, in the past, could only be achieved with moving parts, such as internal gears and other mechanics.

The result is a wide, almost wave-maker like flow pattern that allows you to increase flow from your return pump or closed loop system, without creating a destructive force within the aquarium.

3D Printed!

3D printing makes the unique internal shape that gives the RGF Nozzle its distinctive water movement properties possible.

Each nozzle is manufactured onsite using a quality, reef safe PETG plastic and will hold up the harsh saltwater environment.
