Red MAX Systems

Serious Flow Potential

Flow your tank without powerheads!

The Red Sea MAX series is a unique aquarium setup. This lineup includes a series of circulation pumps along the back wall that are essentially a closed loop flow system – an ideal configuration for the Random Flow Generator® Nozzle.

You can add RFG nozzles to each circulation pump and to the return line. If done right, you can flow your entire tank without powerheads.

Circulation Pumps

Perfect Match

Add the 1/2in Random Flow Generator to each circulation pump along the back wall. The stock pumps that supply these nozzles are rated at 400 to 450 GPH, which is the sweet spot for a 1/2in RFG nozzle.

The flow these can create in your Red Sea MAX is amazing.

The Return Line

Lots of Options

All Red Sea Max systems that include a sump, have a return line that is similar to Red Sea Reefer system – a 25mm pipe inlet. This means you can use any of our pre-configured flow kits that include a 25mm pipe adapter on your Red Sea Max return line.

A popular option is to add a single Random Flow Generator® to the return line, since the return line is offset from the center. However, our dual nozzle flow kits will work as well and can be a viable options to enhance the overall flow.

Choose the option based on the amount of flow your return pump is supplying.
